Peyton Sutherland is a 2023 LHP/ with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Ashburn, VA who attends Rock Ridge. Recorded a 7.71 second sixty-yard dash time. Projectable, high waisted frame with slender build and plenty of room to physically mature. Primary left-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Deceptive delivery with inverted, below belt leg lift and a ton of arm and legs flying at the hitter. Incorporates slightly cross-fired landing position and low three-quarters to add even more deception to his operation. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s for the duration of his outing, flashing some heavy arm-side run when in-sync and on-time. Mixed in 3-8 shaped slurve that has both horizontal and vertical tilt to it, tunneling it well from the same low three-quarter arm slot. Strike thrower with developing command the will continue to improve with more consistent release point. Tons of upside remaining on the mound. Left-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, slightly open stance with a tight hand set, low back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics to get swing going and exhibits developing bat-to-ball skills. Slightly elongated, round swing path with best impact to the pullside, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments. Projectable, young frame with loads of physical projection remaining, high upside on the mound. Excellent Student.
