Brayden Sharp is a 2023 OF/LHP, 1B with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from The Woodlands, TX who attends The Woodlands. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, high waist, plenty of room to fill throughout. Ran a 6.62 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, clean and loose arm action in the outfield, fields it out front, plenty of fluidity and athleticism to actions, ball comes out cleanly with present arm strength to intended base. Similar clean arm from first base, ball carries out of hand, picked it in drills and shows ability to drop slot, balanced actions on the charge. Also pitched, side step into a leg lift above belt, gathers on backside nicely over the hip, easy effort in delivery. Creates big angle at release, shows looseness to arm and ran fastball up to 88 mph, ball comes out of hand cleanly and worked a quick inning; showed 1-7 shape to curveball and landed for strikes, flashed a changeup at 82 mph. Left-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Shows quickness to hands and remains short to the ball, creates extension and contact out front. Linear stroke through the zone and shows a handle for the barrel with carry coming off, projects very well with added strength. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Baylor.
