Patrick Maxwell is a 2022 SS/RHP, MIF, OF, UT with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Arlington, TN who attends Arlington. Recorded a 7.29 second sixty-yard dash time. Long, lean frame with athletic look and room to add strength. Primary infielder with athletic actions into and through the fielding process. Shows ability to range laterally to either side, while funneling cleanly out in front and working through the baseball. Recorded arm strength up to 84 mph across the diamond in defensive drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that works with good pace and tempo throughout his delivery. Pounds the strike zone from a high three-quarters arm slot, flashing life through the zone and occasional sink to it. Fastball worked in the 78-82 mph range for the duration of his outing, holding his velocity well throughout. Mixed in a potential swing-and-miss slider that flashed above average spin traits when thrown with conviction. Showed ability to throw it for strikes, manipulating the shape to it depending on the count. Right-handed hitter that hits from an even based stance with slightly coiled upper half and leg lift trigger. Intent based swing with aggressive front shoulder and tight barrel turn. Incorporates slightly downward swing path with best impact to the pull-side. Will continue to improve with minor refinements to his swing mechanics. Solid overall tools with good defensive acumen and some upside on the mound as he adds more velocity. Excellent Student.
