Brett Busbea is a 2023 3B/RHP, 1B with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Bailey, MS who attends West Lauderdale HS. Recorded a 6.93 second 60-yard dash time. Strong and tall build with well-proportioned strength throughout. Primary third baseman with short footwork and moves to his backhand well. Short, clean arm stroke with a higher slot and throws up to 85 mph. Accurate arm and showed that he'll be an asset at the hot corner. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a methodical leg lift and a deep hip turn. High front lever with a shorter arm stroke and lands closed. Hides the ball and has a heavy fastball. Spins the breaking ball hard with sharp bite. Right-handed hitter with a wide base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Hands work well and keeps the swing compact. Low effort swing with feel for the barrel. Turns the bat head over with conviction and intent. Projects for additional power at physical maturity. Tremendous student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
