Dalton Brown is a 2024 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-2 146 lb. frame from Richmond Hill, GA who attends The Savannah Country Day. Large, square shouldered frame with long limbs and a high waist, lean and projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. ran an 8.91 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, shows a smooth and fluid delivery on the mound; works with a short arm action through the back side and hides the ball well, topped out at 70 mph with his fastball, works the zone well. Mixed in a curveball at 59 mph, will continue to develop a consistent feel for the pitch. Shows a nice pick off move. Similar compact arm action at first base, fields ball closer to body, short steps off the bag and extra steps through the ball during release, accurate throws across. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, simple mechanics in the box and utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing. Upper body dominant swing and can incorporate additional lower half into swing, stays short to the ball and shows comfort working to his pull side. Occasionally gets uphill with path, shows looseness to hands and creates extension out front.
