Matthew Mulato is a 2023 SS/MIF, OF with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Leonia, NJ who attends Leonia. Young, athletic build with lean muscle present throughout his frame. 7-second runner during the sixty. Primary middle-infielder, deep fielding funnel with smooth glove actions. Plays through the ball well with a compact arm stroke. Present arm strength, up to 84 mph across the diamond. Strong feel for the position and should stick up-the-middle. Secondary outfielder, fields off to the side with a deep funnel. Carries momentum through the ball, up to 87 mph on his throws to the bases with carry. Gets on top of the ball producing on line and accurate throws. Quickness in his actions at both positions. Right-handed hitter, narrow, upright stance with a high-hand set, and a high back elbow. Torques lower half well, utilizing a slight leg-lift-trigger to engage his legs. Compact, line-drive stroke with quickness in his hands. Producing good speed with present bat-to-ball skills. Repeats stroke well putting together a consistent round of BP. Excellent student. Named to Sunshine Northeast Top Prospect List.
