Austin Pierzynski is a 2025 C/1B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends The First Academy. Strong athletic build with room to get even stronger. 7.18 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up low behind the plate and has good flexibility in his side to side actions and coming out of his crouch, long and loose arm action with lots of raw arm strength, good game actions receiving the ball. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a leg raise trigger, front foot can be late getting down at times, upper body rotational swing with a line drive swing plane, has some strength in his hands, hits to all fields and is comfortable hitting the opposite way. Excellent student. Son of long time MLB catcher A.J. Pierzynski.
