Jonathan Esponda is a 2026 3B/1B, 2B, SS, MIF, IF, OF, UT with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Miami Gardens, FL who attends Barbara Goleman. A bigger kid with some strength in the build. Ran a 7.52 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop that has a lower slot with short footwork getting to it. He showed the backhand during his round with a good charge showing as well. Threw 83 mph across the diamond. Primary first baseman with two hands out front. Good feeds at 79 mph that were accurate during his round of throws from first base. A right-handed hitter with a narrow base and medium-set hands. He rotates through with the torso and had some strength off the barrel. Gets the bat head out to it consistently. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
