AJ Chaplin is a 2024 RHP/1B, OF with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Boca Raton, FL who attends St. Andrew's HS. Recorded a 7.51 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with a physical build and solid strength present. Primary right-handed pitcher with a side step into a leg lift at the belt. Longer arm stroke through the back with looseness and fires from a high three-quarters arm slot. Slight effort at foot strike and the fastball topped out at 83 mph with arm side run. Softer breaking ball with good depth to it. Executed plan well by changing eye levels; attacked high with fastballs and low with offspeed. Arm strength also plays from secondary position of the outfield. Right-handed hitter with a narrow start and a low effort swing. High hand set with a high back elbow and looks to leverage out in front. Has jump off the barrel and intriguing power upside. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
