James Posner is a 2025 3B/RHP, OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Downingtown, PA who attends Downingtown West Campus. Tall lengthy build. In the outfield, he works with choppy steps to the fielding point. Shorter arm stroke with moderate carry at times and long hop accuracy to both bases. In the infield, he shows some lateral ability with deep funnel when he gets around it. The arm action was on the longer side in the infield with accuracy across. At the plate, he sets up with widespread base and minimal stride or load. The path is on the longer side with a very rotational swing. He got it on the barrel a couple times with line drives being the result, struggling to elevate it much more than that. On the mound, Lengthy build with big side step to a slightly above belt high lift. Medium to long arm stroke and high three-quarters release. Present arm speed with repeatable effortless delivery . Fastball plays true with some ride through the glove. Command was pedestrian but found the low part of the zone a bunch to induce weak contact. Curveball could use a bit of polishing. Really liked the arm speed and the repeatbility though. 7.69 60-yard. Tremendous student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
