Ryan Liss is a 2023 OF/LHP, 1B with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Cooper City, FL who attends St. Thomas Aquinas. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, room to fill throughout with added strength moving forward. Ran a 7.07 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball out front, works into a shorter arm action through the back side, higher slot at release, ball comes out cleanly from hand and shows accuracy to intended base. Left-handed hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Does a nice job of staying shorter to the ball, gets the barrel out front and repeats swing path. Contact oriented approach and shows a handle for the barrel, projects with added strength to frame, occasionally gets around the ball at contact, shows comfort working to pull side. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
