2023 14U National Showcase
Jaxson Baxter is a 2027 C/3B/SS with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Paradise Valley, AZ who attends Notre Dame Prep. An athletic and medium frame. Taller with his build. Ran an 8.32 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with a higher and spread setup. Sets up with a side-saddle as he works through the round. He had a longer arm action, throwing 69 mph with a 2.01 pop time. He also worked out as an infielder with good footwork moving well, showing some quickness to his actions. Threw 81 mph to first base with good accuracy. He had a higher arm slot whipping through throws from a higher slot. A right-handed hitter who worked to the opposite field well during his round of BP swings. He was able to stay inside the ball and lift through the finish and do some damage pull-side. He showed the ability to backspin and had carry on his swings. Threw 81 mph during PG Tech testing. He added a hit in-game as well. Excellent student.
