Antretz McDowell is a 2023 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-3 218 lb. frame from Decatur, GA who attends Southwest Dekalb. Thick extra strong build. Primary first baseman who graded higher at this event on the mound. Simple coiled delivery with a clean arm circle in back, high 3/4's slot, repeats his mechanics very well and works very quickly. Fastball topped out at 85 mph with good running action to both sides of the plate. Curveball was a solid second pitch for him, has feel for changing the shape and spin on the pitch, best at higher velocities. Pounded the strike zone with both pitches. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a high hand load, gets his strong hips into his swing, line drive swing with a mid field approach, has power potential with more lift in his swing in the future. 7.31 runner, has good actions at first base on defense with good fundamental footwork. Good student. Named to the Sunshine Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
