RJ Cope is a 2026 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-7 225 lb. frame from Lawrenceville, GA who attends Georgia Premier Academy. 7.28 runner in the 60-yard dash. Tall and physical build with massive physical projection. Primary left-handed pitcher, works from a full delivery, hands raise high at the top of the lift, works down the mound with good athleticism. Full arm swing in the back to a three quarters slot, loose and whippy arm action. Fastball worked in the mid-80s, getting up to 89 mph in the early going of the outing, generates hard arm-side life and can run it to both sides. Showed a bigger shaped curveball in the upper-70s that he threw in left-on-left matchups with confidence, up to 78 mph (2041 RPM). Also threw a fading changeup that was tunneled well off the fastball, up to 76 mph (1983 RPM). Left-handed hitter, spread stance with high hands and a high back elbow. Knee lift trigger stride, showed massive pull-side juice when connected, hitting multiple balls out of the park.
