2022 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
William Campagna is a 2022 OF/UT with a 5-11 192 lb. frame from Mount Pleasant, SC who attends Wando. Medium frame with a physical type build showing broad shoulders and a sturdy lower half. Ran a 6.87 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder, short strides working into the baseball as he reads it well off the bat. Good direction as he scoops it up to the side fluidly while working momentum to the target. Slight uphill release as he threw it 79 mph with accuracy. Fundamentally sound and proved to have feel for the position. Right-Handed Hitter, wide base while slightly open to start. Hanging leg lift stride as before taking violent cuts. Looked to drive it over the fence with every swing. Proved he could do so as he left the yard to dead center. Recorded an exit velocity of 101 mph off the tee. Projects as a power bat but will find more barrels with a simplification. Outstanding Student. Named to Preseason HS Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
