Grant Helbig is a 2022 1B/3B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from West Dundee, IL who attends Harry D Jacobs. Larger frame with a lean build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary first baseman with smooth footwork while working around the bag and rounding the baseball. Funnels out front and worked through exchange with fluidity. Released from a three-quarters arm slot created accurate, on line carry across the infield at 76 mph. Right handed hitter with a spread, even stance and simple leg lift trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Clean, repeatable hand path to contact with a linear barrel plane through extension. Displayed present bat speed with strength at contact while employing a mid field approach. Consistently produced harder contact to each gap creating solid carry when squared.
