Elias Gomez is a 2021 MIF/3B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Long Beach, CA who attends St. Paul. Medium build with plenty of room to fill out as he continues to develop. Primary infielder, moves well into the hole as well as up the middle. Still maturing his simplicity upon approach. Glove works well out in front as well as to both sides. Arm strength across the diamond will continue to develop nicely alongside his build. Showcases good accuracy even while on the move. At the plate, uses a conventional upright stance that starts slightly open. Leg kick trigger, flat barrel plane through the zone. Throws his hands directly to the baseball. Find consistent backspin up the middle of the field. Good developing pop to his pull side gap, frame suggests his power tool will only continue to improve.
