Julian Hines is a 2024 MIF/RHP, 3B, OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Glendora, CA who attends Damien . The athletic build showed defensively with comfortable movement to the ball in the outfield. The ball pops out the hand with usable carry with on line throws to the bases. He shows the pocket early see's it in and transfers cleanly. In the infield, he showed similar glove work, arm strength, and accuracy. The athleticism shine through more in the infield though, with really quick feet laterally. At the plate, he sets up with wide spread base that works into a moderate striding load. The path is lofted maybe a tick too much at times. He has no problem getting extended to the point of contact with approach geared middle to pull. On the mound, the tall lean athlete projects well with balanced wind-up, high leg kick, and three-quarters arm slot. The misses tend to be arm side as the result of a slight head wack. But all in all looks the part out there and had no problem pounding the zone and producing weak contact. 7.87 60-yard. Selected to the Top Prospect list.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
