Cole Blumenthal is a 2023 SS/RHP/3B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Redondo Beach, CA who attends Bishop Montgomery. Medium frame with a lean and athletic build. Ran a 7.22 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, athletic around the dirt with quick feet and solid actions, funnels it quickly and gets it out on time, arm strength plays well from left side, clocked up to 86 mph. Also pitches, gets down mound quickly with big crossfire, creates some deception from a shorter release, tough to pick up the fastball in the low-80s with heavy arm side run and showed feel for both short tilting slider with good bite and a clean changeup with good fade. Righthanded hitter, wide in the lower half, simple and under control swing, uncoils on time with good hands and the ability to backspin the baseball, impact strength stood out and very consistent in producing good contact to the middle of the field. Good student. Named to 2022 Sunshine West Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
