Chance Shipley is a 2020 RHP/ with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Chino, CA who attends Don Antonio Lugo. Stocky build with some good athleticism. Has a smooth delivery from the windup, uses a small side step to work into a belt high leg lift. Stays slightly flexed at gather with drop and drive actions down the mound. Creates some good linear direction, landing on line with the plate before falling off slightly to the glove side. Has a slightly loose arm action in the back before working from a mid three-quarters arm slot. Throws a fastball with heavy life in the upper-70s, topping at 81 miles per hour; however, the curveball is his control pitch. Shows willingness to pitch backwards, using a heavy dose of curveballs early in counts. Drops arm slot some on the curveball creating some pretty sharp action with a shorter depth.
