Chris Newstrom is a 2024 SS/C with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Chaparral. Taller and proportioned frame with a very athletic look. Projection remaining. A primary infielder, really advanced footwork with excellent hands. He has a quick and clean exchange and threw a very easy 90 mph across the diamond. Also worked out in the outfield showing athletic movements and a big arm that registered 94 mph. A right-handed hitter, clean and loose stroke with the ability to time velocity up out front and create back spin carry. All the tools to stay on the left side with middle of the order potential. Good student and committed to Tennessee.
