Tyler Hibbs is a 2008 RHP/SS with a 5'11", 160 lb frame from Odenton, MD who attends Arundel HS. Tyler has a lean wirey build with very good present strength for his size. On the mound Tyler has a lightning quick arm action with a short quick arm circle. He gets great run and sink on his fastball and shows off a big time slider that can be nearly unhittable at times. Tyler gets a lot out of his lower half, but is very high effort in his delivery with a violent head jerk. He works very fast and can carve up a batting order in a hurry when he is on. At the plate Tyler has a patient approach and looks to put the ball in play. He is able to hit the ball to all fields and makes consistent solid contact. In the field Tyler has very good third base tools with big-time arm strength and a quick release. He is a bit raw in his footwork, but he has very good hands. Tyler is a strong student that will be a highest-level college prospect.
