Chase Russell is a 2024 RHP/ with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Madison, MS who attends Madison Central. Primary right-handed pitcher with a big physical presence on the bump. Works from the stretch with leg lift to balance position and drive off the backside getting down the slope. Clean arm action from a 3/4 arm slot delivery with direct line to the plate. Fastball up to 88 mph (2196 RPM) with heavy and good life through the zone. Curveball in the 70-74 mph range (2276 RPM) with late bite and depth when he gets extension out front. Straight changeup at 76 mph (1334 RPM) rounded out the mix. Feel to execute three pitches with clean delivery and frame with room to add size and strength in lower half. Excellent student.
