Troy Sterling is a 2024 C/OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Ramsey, NJ who attends Bergen Catholic. Large, square shouldered frame with present strength and additional room to fill develop moving forward. Ran a 7.53 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, higher set up during drills, receives the ball out front, quick transfer, gains short ground and can continue to implement additional lower half into release, worked around the bag with throws, full arm action on throws down to second base. Right-handed hitter, begins with a spread stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, hands start close to body. Weight starts on backside, rotational swing, stays shorter to the ball and keeps hands inside throughout swing, will unlock additional strength at contact with extension out front, short stroke overall through zone. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
