2023 Northeast Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Ryan Marchina is a 2024 1B/OF with a 6-2 220 lb. frame from New City, NY who attends Bergen Catholic. Marchina works from an athletic build with strength proportioned nicely throughout. Starting from his primary 1B spot, he flashed clean glove work with softness to the hands and quick turns to put throws on the bag up to 75 mph. He also worked from the OF where he topped out at 80 mph with direct routes to the baseball and a full arm action shown. Offensively, Marchina posed a power threat starting from an even base with an exaggerated high hand set and high back elbow. The lefty utilized a toe-tap trigger for timing with natural lift in the bat path, posting an exit velo of 83 mph. Ran a 5.15 forty yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
