Leo Marrero is a 2026 C/RHP/1B with a 5-11 200 lb. frame from Wauchula, FL who attends Hardee Senior. Recorded a 7.95 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with a strong and physical build. Used a short and compact arm action from behind the plate. Showed good arm strength and throws were accurate and right on the bag. Also worked out in the outfield and moved to the ball quickly, showing the same good arm strength and accuracy. Throws from the outfield reached 84 mph. Left-handed hitter and starts with an upright stance. Employs a small stride to initiate swing. Turns the barrel over well and gets extended out front well. Wore out the pull side with pop on a consistent basis. Good impact and repeated very well. Secondary right-handed pitcher and begins delivery with a leg lift to waist level, landing on line at foot strike. Utilizes a long arm swing, releasing from a mid-3/4 slot. Ran the fastball up to 84 mph with heaviness and sink to it. Complimented with a sharp curveball that tunneled off the heater well. Threw a quick and efficient outing.
