Taytum Reeves is a 2026 C/RHP, 2B, 3B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Menifee, CA who attends Paloma Valley. Physical kid with strength present in his frame. Ran a 7.23 60-yard dash. Primary catcher who was quick behind the plate with impressive catch-and-throw qualities to keep the throws on the bag, working with a 1.88 pop time. His feet re-positioned underneath him from his setup to throwing stance really well. The right-handed pitcher also appeared on the mound with an easy delivery and deliberate actions from a high-three-quarters arm slot. He started with the hands high covering his face, drops them to the belt, and brings them back up with his leg kick, working down the mound with fluid mechanics. His fastball was up to 80 mph, working the mid- to upper-70s, being able to locate it to both sides of the plate, establishing the glove-side part of the zone early. He could elevate the fastball late to get swings and misses. Also killed the spin on a changeup that had arm-side fade to it, throwing it in the low-70s letting it trail off the plate arm-side. Mixed in a tight-spinning breaking ball that had some depth to it. The right-handed hitter uses an open stance with a leg lift trigger, staying in control of himself to work through the zone with bat speed and strength. He put together a solid round of BP, creating some backspin on swings and barreling the ball up consistently. Named to 2022 13u Perfect Game Select Festival.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
