Nicholas (Nick) Gates is a 2025 C/1B, OF with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Niceville, FL who attends Niceville Senior. Large frame with an already filling out build showing strength throughout the frame. Ran a 8.38 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, sitting down in his stance with athleticism. Proved to have feel for receiving the baseball. Quick transfers on throw downs as he gained ground direct to target. Downhill release as he recorded a pop time of 2.32 seconds and was accurate with throws to the bag. Right-Handed Hitter, starting from a spread out stance with high hands. Leg lift trigger before striding out. Creates separation and then works into a very slight downhill path. Looked to drive the baseball the other way on a line. Outstanding Student.
