2019 National Underclass South Showcase
Joseph Price is a 2021 2B/IF with a 5-6 125 lb. frame from Anthem, AZ who attends Boulder Creek. Medium frame with slender, compact build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.80 seconds. Hits from open stance with upright set, high leg lift trigger, hits off of back side, line drive swing plane through the zone, hands work well, middle-field approach. Worked out well in the infield, quickness to footwork, moves laterally well, good feel for glovework to either side, clocked up to 74 mph on throws. Also pitched, throws from three quarters slot with simple delivery, fastball worked 70-74 mph with some plane, showed curveball with 12/6 shape and good depth. Excellent student.
