Mason Elrod is a 2023 1B/RHP, 3B, OF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Miramar, FL who attends West Broward. Large frame with strong, lean build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.72 seconds. Hits from even-based stance with easy stroke and plenty of bat speed, gets barrel on plane well and is adept at creating backspin, can loft balls into both gaps with good jump off the barrel and more power coming as he continues to gain strength. Primary 1st baseman, fields through the ball and does a nice job of making the turn on double play throws, showed good movement patterns in the outfield as well, clocked up to 81 mph on throws from the outfield. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
