Niko Gomez is a 2009 C/1B with a 6'0'', 195 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends St. Ignatius College Prep. Gomez has a good strong catchers build. He continues to improve his catch and throws skills and had his best pop time we have seen at 1.96. He also shows some arm strength from behind the plate. He is short to the ball in his swing and can drive the ball to all fields. He swings works well and he has good leverage in his swing. He keeps improving each time out and is one to watch. He is also a very good student.
