Nicholas Willey is a 2022 OF/LHP with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Lagrange, KY who attends Oldham County. Medium and athletic frame with room to fill throughout. Ran a 6.99 second 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, worked out at the position fielding the ball to the side and working through it well, arm strength is average with carry to his target up to 77 mph. Secondary left-handed pitcher, side step delivery up to a higher leg lift, takes his arm back to a compact arm action releasing from a high 3/4 arm slot, leans back at balance point and repeats his delivery, fastball peaked at 71 mph and can locate it to both halves of the plate, developing spin on his breaking ball. Left-handed hitter, wide based stance, shows a good feel for the barrel starting with a hanging leg lift trigger into contact, leverages well to all parts of the field, ball comes off the barrel well especially to the pull side, fluid stroke with projectable pop as he fills out. Outstanding student.
