Yosvany Gomez is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 5-11 200 lb. frame from West Palm Beach,, FL who attends Forest Hill Community. Strong physical build particularly in the lower half, pretty mature physically. Has a long arm action on the mound with a high 3/4's arm slot, comes across hard on the front side on his release. Fastball worked mostly in the upper 70's, topped out at 82 mph early, gets very consistent cutting action due to his release out front and works mostly glove side. Creates some spin on his curveball and does a good job of landing the pitch. Will continue to improve with better consistency especially in his fastball command. Right handed hitter, sets up in a high back elbow stance with a leg lift trigger, short swing with some strength when hit gets out front, has some lift in his swing and gets the ball in the air with some carry when timed up. 8.13 runner who plays first base when not on the mound.
