Brogan Jones is a 2024 C/3B with a 5-9 172 lb. frame from Ashland, KY who attends Boyd County. Medium and stocky frame with strength present especially in his lower half. Ran an 8.82 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, worked out behind the plate with a side saddle stance, receives the baseball out in front and works through it well, comes out of his crouch to an upright release, uses a compact arm action with developing arm strength, posted a 2.37 second best pop time during drills. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with a spread out stance and a high back elbow, bat waggles at load before dipping his hands into contact, upper half dominant swing meeting the baseball out in front, long swing plane with a feel for the barrel, will continue to improve pop with strength. Great student.
