Brandon Rice is a 2022 RHP/3B, SS with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Macomb Township, MI who attends Utica Eisenhower. Strong build with present athleticism and room to fill out. Ran a 7.58 second sixty-yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher. Employs a small side step to belt high leg lift staying slightly flexed at gather going to drop and drive actions down the mound landing online with the plate and falling off to the first base side at finish. Employs a long, loose arm action throwing from a mid three-quarter arm slot with good arm speed. Displayed explosive actions down the mound. Displayed a fastball with good feel for the zone up to 84 mph complemented with a sweeping slurve creating swing and miss at 67 mph. Also worked out in the infield. Displayed clean footwork with good range working to both sides of the infield. Flashed developing glove actions with clean transfers into throws. Showed good arm strength with accurate carry across the diamond topping out at 83 mph. Left handed hitter. Employs an open stance with a toe tap trigger. Flashed a linear swing with a up the middle approach and good barrel control. Showed the ability to create consistent pull side line drives and ground balls throughout batting practice and games.
