Trevor Young is a 2021 LHP/1B with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Normal, IL who attends University. Medium frame with longer limbs and a lean build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary left handed pitcher with side step to high leg lift delivery. Stays tall on back side at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Swings front side while working to the plate but lands inline at finish. Hides baseball well at take back and released from a three-quarter slot. Fastball generated occasional downhill plane through the zone in the mid 70's, topped at 77 miles per hour. Curveball had 1/7 shape with loose spin and occasional depth in the low 60's. Also flashed a changeup offering in the upper 60's. Primarily looked to attack the bottom of the zone while showing developing feel for the edges of the plate. Good student as well.
