Sammy Diaz is a 2025 SS/MIF/OF with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from New Castle, DE who attends Delaware Military Academy. Smaller athletic build with lots of growing ahead of him. 7.16 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, moves well and is light and quick on his feet, presents his glove early and has good hand actions, throws well on the run and can throw from multiple slots, has some arm strength for his age with more to come. Also worked out in the outfield. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with an exaggerated high leg raise trigger, can get busy and late in his pre-swing approach, rotates his lower half well once his foot gets down, has some hand quickness, mostly pull side line drive contact. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
