Austin Haley is a 2023 3B/MIF/OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Sherman, TX who attends Howe. Large frame with a strong athletic build. Primary third baseman, moves well for a corner profile, good glove working soft and clean out front, comfort at angles, longer arm stroke into release but good arm strength and carries well up to 87 across. Also pitches, compact and clean delivery, simple movements and gets over the front side with good arm speed, up to 87 with lots of feel for the zone getting downhill, shows two distinct breaking balls with spin over 2200 RPMs on both, can land both for strikes and occasional swing-and-miss. Right-handed hitter, wide base and short move in, short quick stroke on a lifted path, swings off the back side a bit but has strength in the hands and quickness in the wrists, able to get the ball in the air with some authority and will get into more strength as he engages shifting the weight more. Outstanding student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
