Ethan Schimony is a 2022 C/OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from State College, PA who attends State College Area. Strong athletic build. 6.84 runner in the sixty. Plays both catcher and the outfield with tools for both positions. Has good lower half quickness behind the plate, gains ground well and shows good accuracy and carry on his throws, can work lower to the ground. Athleticism plays well in the outfield when he's aggressive through the ball, has good arm strength and carry. Left handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a tight hand load, drifts to his front side and can get early in his shift at times, best when he's staying back and letting his loose fast hands work, has some lift in his swing and can get carry to the middle of the field. Very good athlete all around athlete with some projection left for a senior. Good student. Named to the Western Pennsylvania Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
