Mason Phelps is a 2025 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-5 125 lb. frame from Rockwell, NC who attends East Rowan. Slender young athletic build. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with nice lower half use in his swing, quick hands with very good loose extension through contact, swings hard and can impact the ball well for his size and age, projects very well as a hitter. 8.15 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, young actions on defense, long arm action with developing arm strength. Also pitched, works from a full wind up with a balanced leg lift start, gets good extension out front. Fastball topped out at 72 mph to go with a low 60's curveball. Has a chance to hit while the rest of his tools and skills develop.
