Owen Hunter is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Edmond, OK who attends Edmond North. medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.21 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, attacks the ball well in the outfield with short steps, fields the ball out front, works over front side at release with a short arm action, shows carry when on top, has a clean arm action and projects with physicality. Also pitched, big rock step with a leg lift up past belt, gathers on backside with a full arm action through the back working to a three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 75 mph and induced weak contact off the barrel with short running life when getting to glove side; filled the zone, maintained arm speed well on slider up to 68 mph with sweeping finish. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; subtle shift through lower half moving into contact. Long swing path through the zone and looks to lift at point of contact, gets uphill with swing path at times. Keeps hands inside the ball, upper body dominant swing, shows comfort working to pull side.
