James "Will" McKinzie is a 2025 SS/C, MIF, OF, UT with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from New Waverly, TX who attends Montgomery. Recorded a 7.19 second 60-yard dash time. Primary shortstop with a medium frame and athletic build. Fluid mover on the dirt with first step quickness. Soft hands to both sides with throws across the diamond at 81 mph. Arm strength transfers to the outfield working through the ball. One-hand gather to exchange with inline momentum and throws to the bases at 85 mph. Secondary catcher with a compact setup and quick feet working under the ball. Clean exchange and quick release on throws with accuracy to the bag. Right-handed pitcher working direct down the slope running the fastball up to 82 mph. Developing breaking ball at 65 mph with depth for a primary secondary offering. Right-handed hitter with a hanging knee-lift trigger and strength through the zone. Controls the barrel to all fields with impact out front. Excellent student.
