Ellis Appling is a 2026 OF/RHP, 1B, 3B, SS with a 5-9 177 lb. frame from Grayson, GA who attends Parkview. Features a strong, stocky build. Moves well for size. Ran a 6.88 60-yard. Primary outfielder. Showed an aggressive approach during defensive workouts. Can create momentum into the catchpoint well. Still developing ability to maintain body control consistently. Can create quality carry on throws, reaching 83 mph during workouts. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a wider base with a crouched stance. Transfers weight using a simple timing mechanism. Quick hands combine with the strong frame to produce hard hit contact often. Approach stays through the middle of the field. Has advanced barrel feel for the age. Has power bat potential. Right-handed pitcher. Uses drop and drive mechanics into a slight crossfire landing. Throws form a high 3/4 slot with a longer arm action. Fastball got up to 77 mph with slight cut action at times. Pairs it with a low-60’s slider with short, tilting action. Flashed the ability to spin the offering well. Excellent student. Named to the National Underclass Main Event Top Prospect List.
