Chandler Thiel is a 2024 SS/RHP/IF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Woodstock, GA who attends River Ridge. Strong athletic build, pretty mature physically for his age. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with no stride into contact, has some hip shift to get his lower half into his swing, has some strength and bat speed to go with some lift in his swing, gets the ball into the air consistently, flashed his power potential. 7.40 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, has good athleticism and balance on the move, showed range to each side and charging the ball, nice arm strength with carry. Also pitched, has a high 3/4's arm slot with good lower half direction to the plate, some energy at release that he controls well. Fastball worked up to 84 mph with good arm side running action, gets to both halves of the plate effectively. Secondary pitch was a short slider with more of a late and short cutter action. Good student. Named to the Sunshine Southeast Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
