Brooks Emory is a 2022 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-4 235 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Grand Oaks. Large, broad shouldered frame with present strength to build and additional room to grow moving forward. Ran a 7.80 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, does a nice job of maintaining direction to the plate through lower half, cuts extension off slightly but stays short with arm circle in the back working to a high three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, flashes short life when on top and can work in on hitters. Control improved throughout outing and mixed an 11-5 shaped curveball with short life at 61 mph. Can continue to incorporate additional lower half into delivery. Fields the ball out front and hands play at the ball, shows actions at the bag, works into a tight and short arm action, can drop slot down on throws. Righthanded hitter, begins with an open and upright stance with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a long stride moving into contact. Stays short to and through the ball with a linear swing path and looks to incorporate physical strength at point of contact. Creates back spin to pull side when on time and shows comfort working to the middle of the field. Excellent student.
