Peyton Coffman is a 2024 2B/RHP, C with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Dover, AR who attends Russellville. Medium build with present physicality and some room to still fill out and grow as he continues to develop. Primary infielder, fields out in front and glove works well to both sides. Shows some comprehension for his footwork and looks to read hops off the bat. Accurate throws across the diamond, arm strength will continue to develop nicely alongside his build. Behind the plate, uses a conventional crouch and shows some quickness out of it. Developing glove work, posted a 2.36 second pop time down to second base in the catching workout. On the mound, has a longer arm action from a true three-quarters slot. Simple mechanics, fills up the zone with strikes, fastball up to 73 mph. Some good arm side run to his fastball, will pitch exclusively with the pitch. Lower slot creates some deception to his arsenal. At the plate, uses an upright and even stance with a pronated front foot. Toe tap to high leg kick trigger, at his best when working through the middle of the field. Hands will drop down and back into his load, middle to pull side approach, good student in the classroom as well.
