Maddox Mandino is a 2023 OF/LHP with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Minden, LA who attends Glenbrook. Smaller athletic build with some compact strength. Left handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a good lower half shift into contact, hits under control with a good base to his swing, line drive swing path with good barrel control and contact to all fields. Has good carry to his throws in the outfield, can be more aggressive in his angles and routes to the ball. Also pitched, slow paced delivery with a big hip turn, lands closed out front, low 3/4's arm slot helps create angle to the plate, tough look for left handed hitters. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, has touched 90 mph at past PG events. Breaking ball is a big sweeping slurve with good depth. Chance to contribute at the college level as a situational lefty from a tough slot. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Louisiana Lafayette.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
