Sammy Wilson is a 2027 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B, OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Walton. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.28 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, shows balance to actions and moves well going up the middle, solid arm strength across the diamond, hands play out front at the ball. Graded best in the outfield in this look, attacks it well with energy and maintains body control, works through the ball very well, throws with intent and shows low and on line carry to the intended base with big carry. Also pitched, worked exclusively out of the stretch, simple operation with easy arm speed through the backside and shows athleticism. Changes tempo to operation, fastball topped out at 79 mph and lived to the glove side corner; landed curveball for strikes up to 69 mph with some depth to it. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even stance, high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Longer hand path moving into contact, showed his best swings in live action as he barreled a baseball hard to pull side gap for triple. Comfort working to the pull side, occasionally gets around the baseball, utilizes a knee lift trigger for timing. Named to the 14u Georgia All-State Games Top Prospect List.
