Rhys Jones is a 2026 SS/RHP, 2B, OF with a 5-3 105 lb. frame from Birmingham, AL who attends Spain Park. He has a small frame with a slender build. Primary shortstop that has active feet and works behind the ball well on the backhands. Did a nice job of following his throws and showed quick, soft hands. Secondary pitcher that throws from a low 3/4 arm slot. He is able to generate some nice run on his fastball. His secondary offering is a curveball that has loopy shapes. He does a nice job of changing speeds and keeping hitters off balance. He starts with an even stance at the plate with high hands and a high back elbow. He is able to generate a lot of separation and has an up-the-middle approach. He has a longer swing and will be able to ad more pop by utilizing his lower half more.
