Anthony Capogna is a 2021 C/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Farmingdale, NY who attends St. Anthony's. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame, additional room to fill moving forward. Ran a 7.54 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, pops out of lower set behind the plate well, gains short ground with lower half coming into release, receives out front and works on top of throws down to second base, accurate throws and arm strength will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with a lower back elbow at the plate and utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing. Timing components to lower half load, works on a linear path through the zone and gets it through the zone well, nice bat to ball skills and repeats it well, shows ability to work to all fields. Very good student.
